Hertford Hero Donates Surplus Food to Hertfordshire Zoo

Thu 23rd May

Elliot, an 11-year-old from Hertford, has demonstrated the spirit of community and conservation by organising a fruit and vegetable collection for Hertfordshire Zoo. Recently, Elliot, accompanied by his friends, went door-to-door in his neighbourhood collecting surplus produce from residents to donate as animal feed.

In recognition of his outstanding efforts, Elliot had the exciting opportunity to meet his favourite CBBC TV stars, Cam, Tyler, and Aaron, the presenters of “One Zoo Three,” which is filmed at Hertfordshire Zoo.

Tyler Whitnall, Director of Hertfordshire Zoo, praised Elliot’s initiative, stating, “Young people today often face unfair stereotypes. They are frequently portrayed negatively in the media, but Elliot’s efforts shine as a beacon of hope.’

Elliot’s act of kindness has not only benefited the animals at Hertfordshire Zoo but also united the community in a shared purpose. His actions demonstrate the incredible potential of young people to make a significant difference, proving that compassion and initiative can lead to meaningful change.
